Later in the week, i saw my first burrowing owls. And yesterday while hiking on Pine Island, both eagle parents were at the nest, and i caught one in flight...
When I started this blog, I was a reset merchandiser, traveling the southeast. Now I'm retired, visiting and going to events. Or I was until the pandemic hit. Now I follow weather, going to places I can avoid people. When I started this blog, I'd just moved into a 26' Class C. Since then I've lived in a 32' Class A, a Grand Caravan, and now a B3500 former wheelchair van. All these varied rigs have been right for a particular time in my travels. ~ Gypsy Jane

Today's Birds 2.2.20
The gulf of Mexico wasn't all i got to see this week. There were birds. No pictures of the first one, who presented himself to us while my friend and i were paddling a tandem kayak through mangroves. A mangrove coucou, who hung out with us for a good while, going from branch to branch, taunting is for not bringing cameras aboard.
